We are excited to release a new video series on Dolby Atmos content creation. For this 3-part series, we partnered with Nick Dixon, founder of Black Edge Sound Studios, located in the UK.
Nick and Erik Geslin created “DR-0NE”, a Dolby Atmos showcase where you fly into the post-apocalyptic world of DR-0NE and hear how Dolby Atmos emphasizes the desolation, decay and awe in this landscape.
In the three following videos, Nick explains the different steps needed to create compelling 3-D content. Video 1 covers how to start your project using Dolby Atmos for Headphones.
Video 2 dives into different approaches to create an object based mix and in video 3 he takes us into the mix facility, and works through scaling a mix for playback on various playback systems.
